About Lisa
Lisa grew up in Rocky Mount, VA, where her treasured parents taught her love for God, family and the outdoors. She and her husband, Ron, along with three sons, moved to Burlington, NC in 1996 where Lisa and Ron still live. They enjoy hiking and spending time with family, especially their precious grandchildren.
Lisa shared her heart through poetry from an early age. She has been writing stories for the past several years that she shares at Christmas gatherings, then tucks them away. After leaving a forty-year career, she felt moved to pursue the call to share her stories. Her hope is to live each day with grace and compassion. To share the light that was lit in her a long time ago through her life and her stories.

What does Love Shines Bright Books mean to me? Love, in its purest form, cannot be mistaken. It is like comparing the light of a match to the blazing sun. I am reminded of a couple of scriptures that I am recapping. “When we come to know and believe the love God has for us, we understand that GOD is LOVE and when we abide in love, we abide in God. We are called to love one another with the same love poured out on us by him and in doing so, others will know we belong to him.”
The goal of Love Shines Bright Books is to reflect God’s love. To move young hearts and possibly old alike thru stories. Some stories may be thoughtful, while others will be light and humorous. There may be just silly stories for fun reading or stories that are educational. This journey is new for me and I am open to where God leads me on it. Thank you for joining me.
